Hello my name is Shane as you can tell Dave Matthews Band is my favorite. I am going to see them 5/21/99. In Vet. Stadium in Philadelphia. Santana and the Roots are opening up for Dave. Dave Matthews Band has been around since 1993. Their first CD was "Remember 2 Things." Their second was "Under the Table and Dreaming." Their third was "Recently." Their fourth was "Crash." Their fifth "Live at Red Rocks 8.15.95." Their sixth was "Before these Crowded Streets." Then Dave did a tour with Tim Reynolds. They published a live acoustic concert called "Live at Luther College". | ||||||||||||||||

This site also features Dave Matthews Band facts. 1.)September 27 is Dave Matthews Band Day. It was proclaimed by the mayor of Charlottesville, Virginia. 2.)Dave Matthews was born in South Africa. His family then moved to New York City then to England and then back to South Africa and after that Dave's father died and his father had a great love for Virginia so the family lived there. Dave stayed there while the rest of the family moved back to South Africa. 3.) Dave's sister, Anne, died of AIDS. There are many rumors going around but this is the fact. The band's second CD, Under the Table and Dreaming, was dedicated to Anne. Dave doesn't have AIDS or any other disease he is healthy. 4.) Dave Matthews was a bartender at a Virgina bar/pub called Trax. Dave was bartending and saw the other members of the now Dave Matthews Band in other bands and was like damn I need to make a demo tape with some people and these people are good. They made their demo tape and the band started touring a little to local bars and they couldn't think of a name so the bars just called them the Dave Matthews Band and the name stuck. | the band | ||||||||||||||||
